Theory

R6 is the standard rate, not the invoice rate

MA000089 adult ordinary minima as varied 1 July 2026 (PR799369): R1 $25.74 through R6 $29.45 to R7 $32.22. Permanent Saturday is 150% of ordinary, Sunday 200%, public holiday 250% (cl 23 / Schedule B). Casual weekday 6am–6pm is +25%; other casual bands are a separate table. Superannuation Guarantee is 12%. Adult apprentice stage 1 is 80% of R6 in the consolidated table; junior and year-12 percentages live in the pay guide. This is a cost model.

R1 Saturday permanent: 25.74 × 1.5 = $38.61. R6 casual weekday: 29.45 × 1.25 = $36.81. Adult apprentice stage 1: 29.45 × 0.80 = $23.56 ordinary.
