Tax invoice from RO
LiveOne click from the approved repair order to a compliant AU tax invoice — ABN, GST line breakdown, invoice date, no re-keying. Removing re-entry removes errors, and errors at invoice time are the ones that bite at BAS.

How it works
GST calculated, PDF formatted, payment collected, and Xero synced — no manual steps.
Approved estimate lines convert to the invoice with one click — labour, parts, sublet, and fees all carried across.
Tax applied at the rate set in your jurisdiction settings (10% AU default). Displayed as a line item on the invoice.
PDF attached to the payment SMS or email. Compliant with ATO tax invoice requirements — ABN, date, GST amount, recipient.
Paid invoice flows to Xero automatically via webhook. No manual export, no double-entry, no end-of-day reconciliation.
Money path
ABN-aware, tax invoice compliant, and mapped to Xero account codes. Invoice from the RO — no re-keying, no GST errors at BAS time. Australian tax law requires a tax invoice for any GST-registered sale over $82.50: your ABN, the buyer's ABN, a clear GST amount, and the date. Workshop Wrench generates compliant tax invoices directly from the approved repair order so you are not re-keying lines into a separate document. GST inclusive and exclusive settings, payment records, and an AR view are live. Xero export is Dry-run (staged push, not a live App Store connection yet) — your books of record stay in Xero/MYOB.
Why this category matters
Category pages should not be synonym stuffing. Here is the operating rationale every serious shop platform must address.
Car count dies on missed calls, weak booking, and messy intake — the OS must own first contact through check-in.
ARO dies when findings never become priced, decided lines — DVI and portal approvals are margin features.
Throughput dies when AWAITING_AUTH and AWAITING_PARTS are invisible — board stages must mean something.
Cash dies when invoices are re-keyed and AR is a Friday spreadsheet — money path starts on the repair order.
Vehicle lifecycle
The Automotive Workshop Operating System (AWOS) maps every customer moment from first contact to retention — so software follows how workshops actually earn margin.
Capabilities
Live means in the multi-tenant product/demo. Integrations use Live / Stub / Dry-run / Planned — never Connected for stubs. Roadmap means not production-complete.
One click from the approved repair order to a compliant AU tax invoice — ABN, GST line breakdown, invoice date, no re-keying. Removing re-entry removes errors, and errors at invoice time are the ones that bite at BAS.
Tenant settings for GST-inclusive or exclusive line pricing, with correct 10% GST breakout on every invoice — no manual calculation, no year-end spreadsheet reconciliation.
Record cash, card, or partial payment against issued invoices. Outstanding AR is visible to the owner without digging through a spreadsheet — so chasing debt is a deliberate daily action, not an accidental end-of-month surprise.
Hosted Stripe Checkout on shop invoices — Stub without keys, live when STRIPE_SECRET_KEY is configured. Not full US-style text-to-pay packaging today.
ACCREC stage + dry-run push. Staged OAuth shell; gated live sandbox push is the next step — never marketed as Connected until remote proof exists. GST line mapping and AU account codes ride with the adapter.

No. Workshop Wrench owns jobs, estimates, and operational invoices. Xero/MYOB remain your books of record. Our integration stance is export/sync — not replace accounting.
For sales over $82.50 you need: the words “Tax Invoice”, your ABN, the buyer's ABN (for amounts over $1,000), date, GST amount or a statement that the total includes GST, and a description of the supply. Workshop Wrench generates invoices that meet these requirements from the RO.
Payment records on the RO are live. Hosted Stripe Checkout is Stub without STRIPE_SECRET_KEY; with keys it can open Checkout sessions. We do not claim full US-style text-to-pay packaging today.
