Fluorocarbon refrigerant in Australia is an ARCtick job: Refrigerant Handling Licence for the person, Trading Authorisation for the business. Recover, do not vent. R1234yf is A2L. We do not publish charge capacities.

Still common on older AU cars. Recover into the correct cylinder. Do not top up a leaking system and call it a repair.
Theory
The gas is regulated. The jug is not a diagnosis.
R134a is the legacy A1 high-GWP mobile gas. R1234yf is the late-model A2L replacement with much lower GWP and a mild flammability class — WorkSafe treats flammable refrigerants as dangerous goods when they meet that classification. Drop-in blends that “work in 134a systems” often void OEM process and contaminate reclaim. Refrigerant Reclaim Australia is the take-back path. Charge mass is an OEM number we will not invent.

- Identify the gas, recover with the matching machine, leak-test, recharge to the under-bonnet label.
