How it works
Stock reserved on estimate, consumed on close, restocked on PO receipt. The RO drives inventory, not a separate system.
Advisor adds parts to the RO. Workshop Wrench checks stock and reserves the quantity — preventing the same part being sold twice.
Stock drops below reorder threshold → dashboard alert. Reorder direct from supplier or update the PO — no separate inventory app.
PO marked received. Stock levels update automatically; reserved quantities remain held for open ROs.
RO closes → parts consumed deducted. Invoice includes correct parts cost with your markup at the rate set in settings.
Parts readiness
Reserve parts when the estimate is approved. Jobs can't start before parts arrive. No more pulling a car onto the hoist to discover it's waiting on parts that were never ordered. A spreadsheet does not know a customer just approved a brake job — Workshop Wrench does. When a customer approves a line, parts reserve against that job automatically so two techs cannot unknowingly compete for the last set of pads. AWAITING_PARTS on the board means parts are genuinely missing, not that someone forgot to check the shelf.
